The Book of Formation or Sepher Yetzirah
The Book of Formation or Sepher Yetzirah by Knut Stenring w/ Intro by A.E. Waite
The Sepher Yetzirah, also known as the “Book of Numbers and Letters” as well as the “Book of Creation,” is a fundamental part of the well-known Kabala. It is one of the most obscure texts studied to this day. It is no more than 1,600 words altogether, and is the oldest known Hebrew text on white magic and cosmology; it contends that the cosmos derived from the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet and the 10 divine numbers (sefirot, sephiroth). Taken together, they were said to comprise the “32 paths of secret wisdom” by which God created the universe.
This is a rare publication.
Publishing: 1923 by William Rider & Son
Condition: Good / binding is shaken / spine ends are bumped / fold-out illustration is missing, doesn’t effect text at all
